The Government of India has swung into action regarding the Corona issue. In view of the increasing threat of Kovid-19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called a high-level meeting. According to sources, the meeting lasted for about an hour. In this high-level meeting, there was talk of taking high alert and action on the new variant of Corona.

According to the PM's Office, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was informed that there has been a steady decline in the number of Covid cases in India in the last week of December and the last week of 2022, with the average daily count falling to 153 and the weekly positivity It has gone up to 0.14%.
The Government of India has issued special guidelines regarding the passengers coming from abroad to prevent the rapidly spreading infection of the new variant of Corona. Random sampling of passengers coming from abroad has been started at airports across the country. And the guide line for applying mask has been issued.
These guide lines were issued after the meeting of PM Modi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting on the COVID-19 situation in the country. The meeting was also attended by Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Health Secretaries of all States/UTs. During this meeting, the action plan to fight against the fast growing new variant of Corona was discussed.
World Health Organization sought response from China.
The World Health Organization has also expressed concern over the rapidly increasing cases of Kovid-19 in China. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that to assess the risk in China, his organization (WHO) needs detailed information on the severity of the situation, the number of hospitalized Kovid-19 patients and ICU needs. He has requested China to provide all the data to the organization.
